Grandmothers Journey Home Whole journey
Grandmother’s Journey (GJ) is a campaign that will bring ancient wisdom to the oldest and newest of Storytellings. It creates a truer understanding of indigenous history, ancestral lands and waters, and their tradition of stewardship.

The Journey will be extended through virtual spaces and experiences and includes on-going plans to build a Heritage Center and Museum on San Juan Island.

It will serve to connect all of the GJ portals on San Juan Island (Clock Tower, English Camp and American Camp), Orcas Island (Tsil’Whi’Sen), and at Northwest Indian College (Coast Salish Institute) through state-of-the-art virtual reality complemented by archival displays and on-site presentations by Lhaq’Temish historians, orators, and knowledge-bearers.
